Best Work Gloves
Work gloves that last a season are cheap. Work gloves that last years are worth finding. This collection is built around full grain deerskin, elkskin, goatskin and cow split leather: materials chosen for grip, abrasion resistance and how they wear in rather than how they look on day one. Lined and unlined options, sizes from small through 3XL, and wholesale pricing for crews and shops.

Choosing a work glove that earns its keep
Match the leather to the job
Cow split is the workhorse: tough, inexpensive, and the right call for handling lumber, rope, brush or anything abrasive. Goatskin gives you more grip and dexterity with good tear resistance, which is why it shows up in mechanics and driver styles. Deerskin is the most comfortable of the four and the most flexible, so it is the pick when you are wearing gloves all day and need to feel what you are doing. Elkskin splits the difference: nearly as tough as cowhide, nearly as comfortable as deerskin.
Lined or unlined
Unlined gloves give you maximum feel and are the default for three season work. Add lining when the job moves outdoors in winter. Thinsulate keeps the profile slim. Sherpa and Heatlok are warmer but bulkier, which matters if you are working with small fasteners.
Cuff style is not cosmetic
Knit wrist cuffs seal out sawdust, debris and cold air, and they stay put. Safety cuffs are quicker on and off and better when you are pulling gloves on and off all day. Gauntlet cuffs cover the forearm, which is what you want for welding, brush clearing or anything throwing sparks or thorns.
Sizing and break-in
Buy for a snug fit. Full grain leather stretches roughly half a size as it breaks in and then holds that shape. A glove that fits loose out of the box will be sloppy in a month. our sizing chart
